Registration and payment for the trip
How do I register for a trip?
Find the right one for you hesparrowtravel and fill out the registration form on the event page. We will then send you a confirmation and invoice for the advance payment by e-mail. By paying the advance payment, you guarantee your place on the trip and a travel contract is concluded.
What should I know before registering for a trip?

When do I have to pay for the trip?
If there are more than 30 days left until the start of the trip, 3% of the trip cost must be paid as an advance payment within 20 working days after receiving the invoice. We generally send the invoice for the second installment (80%) one month before the start of the trip. However, if there are less than 30 working days left until the start of the trip at the time of registration, the entire trip cost must be paid within 1 working day.
Can I get a refund if I can't come on the trip?
The advance payment is generally not refundable, but if you find a replacement participant before the trip begins who meets the requirements of the specific trip (e.g. in the case of a technical mountain hike), we will refund the advance payment to you. However, if the trip has already incurred nominal costs or reservations that cannot be canceled, we will deduct this from the refundable advance payment. However, if a replacement cannot be found and travel insurance does not compensate for the damage incurred, we will do our best to find sources of expenses that can be canceled and refund the trip fee proportionally.
Are flight tickets included in the price?
Flight tickets are generally not included in the cost of a package tour, but there are exceptions (e.g. domestic flights). However, for certain trips we can recommend a suitable scheduled flight so that we all arrive at the right place at the right time. The tour guides will also give you advice if you have any questions. For certain trips we allow you to purchase flight tickets through our partner Estravel.
What happens after registering for the trip and paying the advance?
It depends on the nature of the trip. If necessary, we will create a joint chat on Facebook, where we will share information on an ongoing basis, get to know each other, advertise preparatory events and motivate each other to exercise. If you happen to not use Facebook, you will of course not miss out on important information. We will send the most important additional information to your e-mail as an information letter before the trip begins.
Should I register my trip with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs?
Yes, we recommend that you register your trip with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in your own interest, which will ensure the traveler receives the fastest and most efficient consular assistance in a foreign country. In certain cases, the registration can also be carried out by the tour guide, but it is not necessary to do it twice. Read more here.
Can the trip be cancelled if there are not enough participants?
Yes, the tour operator has the right (but not the obligation) to cancel a trip if its occupancy is less than 80%. In such a case, we will inform the travelers as soon as possible, but no later than 30 days before the start of the trip. If the trip is canceled, we will refund the advance payment to the participants in full. Read more travel conditions.
What happens if my flight is cancelled?
Elamus+ does not generally sell or broker airline tickets, and therefore we are not responsible for the operation of flights. However, if this should happen, our travel agents will help you find alternative flights or transportation options.
In such cases, compensation will generally be handled by the airline or your travel insurance provider. If you are unable to travel due to cancelled flights, the following applies: in travel conditions the conditions set out.
Do you also organize custom tours?
Yes, we can arrange it. You can send us a request. If possible, we will find a suitable adventure train for you and create an awesome trip according to your wishes.

Travel documents
What documents do I need to bring with me on my trip?
This depends largely on the destination, but in general you will definitely need an ID card or passport. You may also need a visa, travel insurance and/or sports insurance (Insurance FAQ). The traveler is responsible for the suitability and validity of travel documents (NB! sometimes the passport must be valid for a certain period of time after the trip), but we will definitely let you know what exactly is needed. When traveling in Europe, we also recommend, for example, taking a European Health Insurance Card with you (read below).
Do I have to apply for a visa myself?
Yes, if necessary.
What is a European Health Insurance Card and is it needed?
Yes, we recommend that you take the card with you when traveling within the area of validity. Upon presentation of the European Health Insurance Card, Estonian insured persons in the European Union, as well as Liechtenstein, Norway, Iceland and Switzerland, will be provided with the necessary medical care on equal terms with insured persons living in these countries. Are other documents needed?
In some cases, additional travel documents may be required, such as a Covid-19 vaccination certificate or various entry forms. Please refer to the specific trip description for more information.
Do I need to get vaccinated?
In addition to the Covid-19 vaccine (see Covid-19 FAQ) vaccinations for certain diseases may be recommended or even required before traveling. This is generally required when traveling to more exotic areas, and the exact information depends on the destination. Read more here.
