Kondimootor 33/55: Elwa strong
Next time KondimootorOn the first series hike, the air is more summery and the road conditions are hopefully more forgiving than on the Kalevipoeg trail. Therefore, the number of kilometers must also be increased - there are 33 km and 55 km trails through the Elva forest trails. Everyone is welcome - those who are covering such a long distance for the first time, hobby hikers or (hobby) athletes pursuing a sporting achievement. There are plenty of snack points along the trail, where a supportive organizing team will help you and motivate you further. By the way, the previous Kondimootori, which took place in quite difficult winter weather conditions, all participants successfully completed the course! So come and enjoy a nice effort in the fresh air - a sense of achievement and satisfaction is guaranteed. :)
Due to pandemic restrictions, we will allow you to run the course and it is not a mass event. Therefore, there will be no mass start, but there will be a start window during which you can go to the course on your own in a dispersed manner. In addition, we will not be doing any indoor activities and we will minimize the gathering of people in the event area. More details below.

Important information
Kondimootor is open to all who wish, but it should be borne in mind that it is still a fairly long hiking distance. Therefore, assess your fitness and ability accordingly and choose a distance (and start time) that is within your reach. Every hiker must be able to cope independently in any situation, at least until help arrives. The organizers also do not take responsibility for any injuries, damage, etc. that may occur during the event - participants participate in the event entirely at their own risk.
START AND FINISH POINT / COMPETITION CENTER
Before going to the track, you need to go through the starting point, where you can get the competition materials (see below); when you arrive, follow the directional signs. Due to the dispersal requirements and restrictions, we cannot allow you to store your belongings - please leave a change of clothes, etc. in the car, if possible. There is a toilet at the starting point.
The start is open at 08.00-11.00 and the finish line closes at 22.00.
The start and finish point is located at the Tartu County Health and Sports Centre: see on Google Maps.
PARKING
You can park in the Tartumaa Tervisespordikeskus parking lot, where there are spaces for at least 60 cars. Please follow the traffic signs and regulations when parking.
ACCOMMODATION AND WASHING FACILITIES
Due to the restrictions, we recommend that you consider not staying overnight on site, but if you still need to, accommodation can be booked. On the website of the Health and Sports CenterWe recommend using family or friends for transportation so that you don't have to drive back yourself when you're tired.
The health and sports center also offers washing facilities: 2€/person. It is possible to use the sauna by reservation: 25€/hour. The contact information for the Health Sports Center can be found here..
COMPETITION MATERIALS
Competition materials will be available from the start of the race (8.00:11 AM) or immediately before it and until the start closes (00:XNUMX AM). Each competitor will receive the following materials at the start point before entering the track:
Waterproof trail map
Race number (+safety pins)
Promotional stickers and emblems
COURSE
The hiking/racing trail is circular, meaning the start and finish are in the same place. The trail passes through various hiking trails around the Tartumaa Health and Sports Centre and is mostly unmarked. Therefore, you should still follow a map or GPS navigation device (the minimum requirement is a mobile phone with a trail map and a battery bank) and some orienteering skills or at least a technically savvy navigator in the group are required.
When moving in the dark or at dusk, a flashing red light must be attached to the back, a reflector or reflective material visible from both the front and back, and we recommend using a lighted headlamp (see “mandatory equipment”). This helps ensure the participant’s visibility both in the forest and on roads, and is also helpful in searching if necessary.
We have set up the following drink and snack points along the trail:
33 km track:
Drink and snack point
Food stand
55 km track:
Drink and snack point
Food stand
Drink and snack point
The course map (PDF and various GPS file formats) with marked waypoints can be downloaded; we will send it to participants in the pre-race newsletter.
CATERING
There are drink and snack points along the trail where you can replenish your drink supplies and have snacks (e.g. bananas, cookies, candy, etc.). In addition, each participant will receive a hiking food pack and hot water for preparing it at one of the marked food points. You must bring your own cutlery (spoon/spork).
The snack and food stations are generally quite well-stocked and you don't have to worry about going hungry. Of course, you can also put whatever you like in your pocket/bag if you wish. You can also get water at every station and sports drinks etc. at certain stations.
INTERRUPTION AND EMERGENCIES
In case of serious injuries or a life-threatening incident, call first. emergency number 112 and then notify the management team (+ 372 56565159, Kristen). Please save the number of the organizing team in your phone so that you can contact us in case of problems.
If you are completely exhausted and unable to continue on your own, please inform the organizing team and we will come to pick you up. If possible, please stop at the marked points where it is easier for us to pick you up. We ask that you do not use this option as a “convenience service”, as the organizing team’s resources are limited and are intended primarily for emergencies.
Also, be caring and help fellow fighters if you see someone in trouble.
PRIZES AND TIMETABLE
Successful finishers will be awarded with congratulations and a medal. We will record the participants' start and finish times and publish them to the participants after the race. However, this is not a race and prizes will not be awarded based on ranking, so there is no point in making a fuss. Victory is completing the course and feeling good!
