You want awesome trails in the new climbing hall leadIda, but you don't have a security card yet? If you already know how to climb in top belay and want to take the next step or want to brush up on your bottom belay skills to get your red belay card, then the red card training is for you. During the one-day training, we will learn how to belay from below (lead climbing), we practice clicking and falling and go through all the skills and knowledge necessary to pass the red security card exam. After the training, participants have the opportunity to take the red card exam. Upon successful completion of which, we issue a red security card.
A lifeguard card is required to climb independently on Estonian rope climbing walls. Cards are issued by Estonian Climbing Association and the presence of the card confirms to the sports club that the person has the skills and knowledge to climb independently with a rope. There are two lifeguard cards: a green card and a red card. The green card gives the right to climb independently with a lifeguard (top rope (i.e. the rope has already been set up) and to use automatic belay stations; the red card also gives the right to independently belay (lead (or you can bring the rope up yourself) to go climbing and guide a novice climber.
More information about the security guard card and requirements can be found on the page map.ronimisliit.ee. NB! The security card is only in virtual form and is register-based (register.ronimisliit.ee).
Who is the red security guard card training for?
Both beginners with belaying skills and experienced climbers who would like to consolidate previously learned skills are welcome. If you have never climbed before, start green card training!
The training is practical in nature - we get hands-on and try everything out. We focus on sport climbing.
