To the highest peaks of the Alps!

Places are full! It is possible to register for the waiting list.

Have you heard "seven summits"mountain climbing? The highest peaks of all seven continents - a coveted achievement that many mountaineers strive for over the years. The rugged and highest Everest in the Himalayas, the remote and cold Antarctica with its Mount Vinson, and several other remote and high peaks that seriously test the skills and endurance of alpinists.

But it can be done easier! There are much more accessible peaks right here near us. "7 Summits of the Alps" - The highest peaks of seven European countries located in the Alps mountain range.

  • France and Mont Blanc (4810 m)

  • Switzerland and Dufourpitze (4634 m)

  • Italy and Gran Paradiso (4061 m)

  • Austria and Grossglockner (3798 m)

  • Germany and the Zugspitze (2962 m)

  • Slovenia and Triglav (2864 m)

  • Liechtenstein and Grauspitz (2599 m)

Let's take a bite and climb on our mountain climbing trip. to the highest peaks of three Alpine countries. You were selected from this list. Slovenia the highest mountain Triglav (2864 m), Austria the highest peak Grossglockner (3798 m) and Germany the highest point is the Zugspitze (2962 m). So we'll start from the easier and lower end, and it's a good introduction to the journey to all seven peaks.

The mountains are quite high and the climbs are varied - we can climb on rocks and secured with ropes via ferrata, on trails, cross a glacier, spend the night in a mountain hut, learn to use mountaineering equipment and much more. In terms of climbing, these mountains are not particularly difficult technically, so they are suitable for those who have been to high mountains before, as well as for those who have little or no previous mountain experience. However, it is necessary good physical shape and enduranceto spend long hours moving up the mountain slopes. And you shouldn't be afraid of heights, because we will be climbing steep cliffs (albeit safely secured to ropes).

Schedule and activities

Day 1 (22.06): We arrive in the Alps

First we fly to Munich, because that's where our on-site tour of the Alps begins. We pack ourselves into rental cars at the airport and head to Slovenia, near our furthest peak, Triglav. The day is spent in logistics and business. By evening we arrive near Triglav National Park, pitch our tents at a local campsite and prepare for tomorrow's hiking day.

  • Driving hours: 5-6

  • Accommodation: in personal tents in a campsite with amenities

Day 2 (23.06): Midsummer Eve in a mountain hut

The first day, where we pack our backpacks and start climbing up using our own feet. The goal of the day is to climb to the Kredarica mountain hut, where we will also stay overnight in order to divide the entire climb to the top more sensibly. The Kredarica mountain hut is located at an altitude of 2515 m and is therefore the highest mountain hut in Slovenia. It will be a decent hiking day, with the length of the route being 11 km and alternating between forests, alpine valleys, a karst plateau and cliffs.

  • Ascent meters: 1900 m

  • Duration of the hike: 6-8 hours

  • Overnight stay: mountain hut (2515 m)

Day 3 (24.06): First peak

The highlight of today is the climb to our first mountain - Triglav peak (2864 m). Since we came to spend the night high up, the climb to the top is quite short, about 2 hours - but you can climb along a sharp cliff ridge and use your via ferrata equipment on the ropes, so there is plenty of nerve-wracking and adrenaline. After taking pictures of the summit, we descend all the way back to the car and do the next part of our road-tripFrom there - we drive to Austria, to the foot of our next peak, Grossglockner.

  • Ascent meters: 350 m

  • Descent meters 2200 m

  • Duration of the hike: 7-9 hours

  • Driving hours 4

  • Accommodation: in personal tents in a campsite with amenities

Day 4 (25.06): The next mountain hut awaits

We start our journey towards the top of the Grossglockner. We hike on a gravel path, climb between the rocks, then put on crampons, pick up a pickaxe and move across the glacier in a roped-off manner. Before the hut, we can also climb on the rocks with crampons for a while. We spend the night at 3400 m in the Erzherzog Johann hut, which is also the highest hut in Austria.

  • Ascent meters: 1500 m

  • Duration of the hike: 6-7 hours

  • Overnight stay: mountain hut (3400 m)

Day 5 (26.06): We climb to the roof of Austria

Summit day! We get up early and march just 300 vertical meters above the hut to try to reach Austria's highest peak, the Grossglockner (3798 m). The road will include glaciers, rock climbing, and a steep summit ridge that requires precise footwork and can make some people's hearts flutter. But nothing difficult! After the summit, we descend back to the parking lot and celebrate our great achievement at the campsite.

  • Ascent meters: 300 m

  • Descent meters: 1800 m

  • Duration of the hike: 7 hours

  • Accommodation: in personal tents in a campsite with amenities

Day 6 (27.06): last country - Germany

Recovering from yesterday's altitude and long hike, we'll have a shorter and easier day today. We head down our last peak and drive to the famous German Winter Olympic town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. It's a popular tourist destination where you can enjoy nature year-round, whether it's skiing or hiking.

  • Driving hours: 4-5

  • Accommodation: in personal tents in a campsite with amenities

Day 7 (28.06): Last peak

And so begins our last summit climb - Zugspitze (2962 m). It will be another long and strenuous day, but the landscape and views are just as powerful. On our way we will encounter a mighty canyon with tunnels and bridges, climb steep via ferrata cliffs (where the legs tend to tremble again), even a small piece of glacier with ice cracks lies in front of the road. Lots of steep slopes and height! Fortunately, it is easier to get down from the summit - we use lifts and a mountain train for this.

  • Ascent meters: 2200 m

  • Duration of the hike: 8-10 hours

  • Accommodation: in personal tents in a campsite with amenities

Day 8 (29.06): home

The peaks are done, it's time to go home! A short drive back to Munich (1-2 hours), with a city tour or roadside attractions if you wish. And if you haven't arrived earlier, then the essential ingredients of German national cuisine Bratwurst, Weisswurst, Schweinshaxe, Pretzel ja Munich Beer.

NB! There may be minor changes to the schedule and planned activities - for example, due to weather and conditions or passenger requests.

Don't worry, let's do it!

My altitude record is Munamägi. Can I still do it?!

Since these peaks are not technically too difficult, of course! However, it is important that your body is used to physical exertion (longer runs or bike rides + strength training). It is also important to train your mental side to cope with long physical days and steep slopes. It would also be necessary that steep slopes do not scare you too much.

But I don't have any hiking gear, who can afford to buy it?

You'll still have to spend a little, but not much at first. Hiking and climbing equipment can be rented for a very reasonable price and, of course, borrowed from friends. In addition, you can use any kind of clothing you have - for example, a ski jacket is also very good for the mountain. The more resourceful can manage almost without additional expenses.

Will I survive?

It's an extreme sport/hobby, but you shouldn't be too afraid here. Of course, there are certain dangers in the mountains and you have to take that into account, but at the same time, you could get hit by a bus walking across the street tomorrow. The most important thing for the group leader is to ensure the safety of the participants - to do this, we learn and use correct mountaineering techniques and turn around if the weather gets too bad. The point is still to have an enjoyable experience and not let this mountain go away. ;)

Okay, I registered. Now what?

A warm recommendation is to participate in preparatory events - this is part of the fun. We organize preparatory hiking trainings, give advice on suitable insurance and equipment, where to rent cheaply, what to train for, etc. The package price includes one winter and one summer preparatory training, as well as access to online mountaineering lectures. We will definitely check the collected equipment just before the start of the trip and send reminders about important things.

Travel documents and footnotes

  • The participant is responsible for the validity and condition of their travel documents. For this trip you will need:

    • ID card/passport;

    • sports insurance suitable for mountain hiking (read more on the FAQ page). A suitable sports insurance policy must be carried and is a prerequisite for participating in the mountain hike;

    • travel insurance (trip interruption, health and luggage).

NB! Take out insurance immediately after registering for the trip to ensure that you can get back any expenses incurred (for example, any advance payment) in the event of an unexpected event.

  • Plan your trip early and start training for it. We will organize several trial trips, training sessions and recommend training plans beforehand. It would be a shame if the peak was only behind the physique. Also a good opportunity to get in shape. ;)

  • Summits are not guaranteed. As you might expect, weather is king in the mountains. So it is entirely possible that weather or dangerous conditions will prevent us from even attempting the summit. Nevertheless, it will definitely be an awesome experience!

  • Although at the end of the day everyone is still responsible for their own actions and consequences, we do our best to mitigate the risks associated with mountaineering. As a result, the group leader has the right to make ongoing decisions about the competence of the participants, the suitability of their equipment, physical/mental capacity, etc. and, if necessary, for example, to prohibit participation on summit day if it endangers the health of the group or the participant themselves. Hopefully, of course, there will be no need for this.
