Hiking
Take time to enjoy nature!
Hiking is a wonderful way to leisurely explore the beautiful and exotic nature of a foreign country. Walking gives you plenty of time to take in your surroundings, reflect, or chat with friends. There’s also the special charm of camping under fresh open skies — or discovering local culture by staying in a variety of accommodations. Our hiking trips often include several days to enjoy the vibrant life of foreign cities as well.

The Borneo adventure trip is designed for the active explorer who enjoys a vacation in nature and a little physical exertion. Elamus+ offers hikers a real treat: an unforgettable trek through the pristine nature of Réunion Island. This is an approximately 160 km journey, with 10 meters of ascent and the same amount of descent, as we hike from the northern to the southern part of the island through genuine jungle landscapes.
A 5-day hike along the Portuguese coast, totaling approximately 110km, is planned along the Fisherman's Trail, which is considered one of the most beautiful coastal hiking trails in Europe. This hike is a so-called comfortable hike: during the day we hike with a light bag, enjoy a moderately leisurely pace, and by evening we reach a place to stay that has all the amenities of a civilized world.
The Corfu walking tour has six hiking days, which run along the coast, small villages, olive groves and forest roads, and not a single day goes by without us visiting some wonderful local taverna. Our hiking route runs on paths that are away from tourism, we enjoy nature and solitude, but by the evening we reach “civilization”, where we can partake in the hustle and bustle of Corfu - dinners with the best local dishes and swimming in the sea. This is one nice active holiday trip in a warm summer climate!
A hiking trip in Iceland will take you to the end of the world, far from civilization, to the Westfjords. There is a high probability of encountering arctic foxes in the tundra landscape there, and puffins on the cliffs by the shore. We will hike on the Hornstrandir Peninsula - a place where there is no road and can only be reached by boat. On the hike, we will only pass a few small villages, which are also only inhabited in the summer. This hike is a good option for those looking for wilder and more remote trails.
The Elba Island Discovery Hike is four full hiking days, a total of about 80km. The hiking route is varied - we walk between rocky cliffs and in dense forests, enjoying expansive views of the light blue sea and the villages hidden in the distance. In the evenings, we reach small towns where we can enjoy authentic island food and atmosphere. The hike is not demanding - it is an active holiday, the goal of which is to get to know the nature, history and food culture of Elba Island in all respects.
The Japan hiking tour takes us to two pilgrimage routes on the Kii Peninsula: Kōyasan chōishi-michi and Kumano Kodō Nakahechi. The first of these is a path surrounded by stupas on Mount Kōya - the temples there are the source of Shingon Buddhism. The second, Nakahechi, connects the most important holy sites in the Kii mountains. Since this 70-kilometer mountain road has been traveled by many emperors and nobles since the 10th century, it is also called the Imperial Trail.
Elamus+ is once again taking on a nice treat for hikers: a cross-country hike across the beautiful, untouched nature of Réunion Island. It is a hike of approximately 160 km, with 10,000 meters of ascent and descent, and we walk from the north to the south of the island through a real jungle.
