I have loved climbing since I was a child, building a hut in the forest with my boys and climbing trees and walls in the forest, or walking along the riverbank with my grandfather and catching fish. As I got older, it was also natural to go camping with friends from time to time and embark on new exciting adventures. But climbing probably brought about the biggest change in my life. In the summer of 2015, I got into the climbing ministry and there was no turning back! I became an instructor in a couple of months, and after six months I was already on my first real rock in Greece. Climbing took me to climb rocks in different places (Greece, Finland, Sweden, Thailand, Spain, Italy, Malta) and also inspired me to have adventures and discover! I went on a backpacking trip for a couple of months: Tallinn-Denmark-Berlin-Porto-northern Spain-Barcelona-Thailand, where I spent about a week climbing, hiking, hanging out with friends and gaining new cultures, adventures and experiences. I spent a month in Thailand, a week in the capital and 3 weeks in a bungalow in Tonsai and climbing. Around 2022 I started thinking more seriously about coaching and am now an ESQF level 4 climbing coach. I coach both young people and adults and in this regard I came across Elamus+ to share their knowledge and experiences with the team.
When I have time outside of climbing, I really enjoy cooking, especially the flavors of Asia and South America. Good food goes with good music, and that's where another great hobby comes from! I've been collecting and playing vinyl for 15 years, and on top of that, I organize the party series "Spontaanika".
Main travel interests: rock climbing (sports trails and multi-pitch).
Language skills: Estonian, English.
Training/courses: EKR4 mountaineering coach qualification; ERL rope instructor certificate; Erasmus+ exchange program at Arco Climbing Club in Italy.
Supervised/organized: Climbing ABC, Basic Climbing Course, Red Lifeguard Card Training, Elamus+ Mountaineering training. Youth U13-U15 training (bouldering and lead). Youth climbing trip: “First encounter with rock in Finland”.
Competitions/ultrasports: Võhandu Marathon 100 km (2022, 2023), Speed climbing 3rd place (2022) and 2nd place (2023).
