When I travel, I always want to experience this local and authentic culture, and the best window into this world is always food. Even better if the destination is a country where, thanks to its geographical location, food culture is closely intertwined with wine culture. A big plus is the fact that grapes grow especially well in the mountains and their lower reaches. These are exactly the cultural and natural gems that I will be looking for, and I invite you all to be part of this journey. My parents once promised me as a little boy that I would become a chef, but it didn't work out that way. Nevertheless, I have been strongly associated with both restaurants and bars for almost 8 years now.
The job brought with it a great interest and dedication to wines, and I have now also acquired the junior sommelier qualification. In the summer, I run the bar Väike Kuuba Pärnu in Pärnu, and in the winter I am involved with wines in some other way, either as a sommelier in one of Estonia's top restaurants, giving training to wine enthusiasts, and now also organizing wine tours. In my work, I focus on one thing - if I can make someone's day better, then it has been a good day.
Main travel interests: wine tours, cultural tours, nature hikes, mountain hikes and interesting cultural spaces.
Language skills: Estonian, English.
