Basic course (beginners or level 1)

The basic mountaineering training course is intended for beginners who have no previous experience with mountaineering and rock climbing. Since there is a strong emphasis on rope work in mountaineering training, people with previous rock climbing/bouldering experience are also welcome to the basic course. During the basic course, we acquire the basic skills needed in the mountains and to join the advanced course. Rope work and climbing training last 2-2,5 hours and running/stair training lasts 1 hour. The basic course lasts 4 months and includes entrance to the climbing hall and use of special equipment. At the end of the basic course, it is possible to take ERL green/red security guard card exam.

The trainings are structured in a progressive order, which is why the basic course should be completed in its entirety and it is not possible to join halfway through the course. After successfully completing the basic course, there is an opportunity to join a 4-month follow-up course, which is highly recommended for consolidating and further developing skills and knowledge.
